It’s been yet another fantastic week of sport this week, with athletics and triathlons competitions well underway, as well as the end of season celebrations in rugby.
Our athletes had a brilliant day out at the Super 8’s athletics this week. The Truro school team were on top form, winning lots of medals throughout the day, especially in the relay events, which included our 2nd and 3rd year boys and girls qualifying for the finals later this year! Also, a special mention to Poppy, who won all 3 of her events in her first competition back after injury!
Naomi H competed in the European Triathle qualifier yesterday at Leweston. Naomi finished in 5th place, which means she’s qualified for the European Laser-Run Championships and the European Triathle Championships in Greece.
Barnaby O took on his first triathlon last weekend. There was lots of strong competition, but Barnaby held his own and finished in 6th place!
Congratulations to Zach, who won the ‘coach’s player of the season’ award at Truro Rugby Club U14’s end of season celebration!
Well done to all our athletes on their sporting achievements. We look forward to seeing how you continue to progress throughout your sporting seasons.
