Yesterday we dropped in on the Wednesday afternoon Psychology Club to catch up on the latest topics surrounding the discussions on ‘why do people do what they do?’
This popular Wednesday afternoon activity is always very well attended. This session started with a psychology version of a good old-fashioned beetle drive, which led to exercises and conversations about gender stereotypes and unconscious bias when representing carers. This was part of a broader discussion on attachment theory and the factors that can impact it.
The Wednesday afternoon club gives a broad insight into theoretical psychology and is known for its lively, thought-provoking discussions. The WAA club is available to 4th and 5th Years curious about psychology and Sixth Formers already studying A-level psychology.
