On Sunday morning, teachers, colleagues and friends gathered aboard SUPS, Kayaks and canoes for a ‘paddle out’ on the River Fal with the Rev Aubin De Gruchy. Those who know Aubin will know the Fal is one of his favourite places, where he can often be seen paddling his kayak. A keen athlete both on and off the water, he has competed in numerous competitions, triathlons and ironman events and remains an active member of the Truro Canoe Club at Boscawen Park.
You may already know the ‘Rev’ Aubin De Gruchy is leaving us at the end of this term to take up a senior mentoring role within the ‘Methodist Independent Schools Trust’. He will be profoundly missed, and his contribution to our whole community has been invaluable to so many and in so many ways during his twenty-plus years at Truro School.
A charity page has been set up to support Aubin’s favourite charity, ‘All We Can’ . We know he would be pleased if you would like to donate to his page. https://www.justgiving.com/page/truro-school-charity-staff.
