We are thrilled to share the exciting news that we have been selected as a Finalist in the Independent School of the Year Awards. The Independent Schools of the Year awards are well-established as the independent school sector’s leading awards programme, and delivering and supporting educational excellence lies at the heart of each award.
Up against hundreds of prestigious schools across the country, we are delighted to become one of only seven finalists in the Independent Boarding School of the Year Category. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in October.
Truro School Head, Andy Johnson, said, “We are very pleased that the hard work of all our staff, and in particular our boarding team, has been recognised in this way. Our boarding community at Truro School is diverse and close-knit, happy and purposeful, and links Cornwall to all the far-reaching parts of the world. As a smaller community than in some other Schools the experience for the children is individually supported and empowering, and our School facilities – sporting, creative and educational – are first-rate. We also, of course, take full advantage of our enviable location in the Cornish City of Truro, from where we have ready access every weekend to sea, the coastlines, or the beautiful countryside all around. Our boarders cherish their experiences here and make friends for life, and we are very proud of them all.”
