We are delighted to announce the arrival of our newest cohort of Lower Sixth students to the Level 3 Leiths Extended Certificate in Professional Cookery. This comprehensive program aims to equip students with essential skills and practical knowledge not only in terms of employment but also in everyday life.
Students will have the opportunity to explore the concept of local sourcing, and understand the importance of using fresh, locally produced ingredients. Through hands-on training, they will develop basic knife skills, a fundamental aspect of any professional cook’s repertoire and will study a broad range of methods, starting with soups, sauces, pastry, breads and cakes.
In addition to the Leiths Level 3 cohort, we are pleased to welcome to our Cookery School a significant number of students to our co-curricular course programme which includes ‘Seasonaires’, ‘Cooking for Life’ and ‘Patisserie’. These provide students with the opportunity to develop core skills and expand their culinary horizons.
We extend our warmest welcome to all our students embarking on their culinary journeys. We are confident that their dedication, combined with the expertise of our team, will lead to a successful and enriching experience in the world of professional cookery.
