Sports fixtures are back in full swing this half-term, and our pupils have had some fantastic results.
Congratulations to our U16 netball team who have progressed to the next round of the National Cup after beating Churston Ferrers Grammar School this week. As well as the U13 football team who progressed on to the next round of the ISFA after winning on penalties against Papplewick School.
Well done to our U15 girls football team who won their match 3-0 against Redruth School. The girls showed great teamwork throughout the match, and it was lovely to watch.
Our U13, U14, and U15 rugby teams played some great games against Mounts Bay this week showing great improvement on the skills they had been working on last half term.
Congratulations to Finn C who has been selected for the national Independent Schools Football Association U17 squad. Finn progressed in the first trial to play for the South v North regions and was selected from his performance in that game.
Compassion was at the forefront of the U15 football team’s ISFA match on Monday, despite not winning the team worked hard throughout the game and were quick to congratulate the opposition at full time.
The 3rd and 4th Year girls’ tennis team traveled to Bath University for the 2023 Southwest Regional Finals. The team of Millie, Jess, Lilia, Cosi, and Evie had great success with impressive single wins for Millie, Jess, and Lilia which were followed up by doubles success for Millie and Jess, and Lilia and Cosi. Well done girls!
Well done to our fencers Eyren, Sarang, Lauren, and Etienne, who competed in the Stratford LPJS ranking series event. They obtained 3 medal positions and all finished within the top 8 in their divisions.
