It has been a week of reflection and remembrance at Truro School Prep.
Year 6 prefects have been selling poppies and gathering donations for the British Legion at break times throughout the week.
On Tuesday, Reverend Helen led a special assembly where she encouraged children to reflect on the significance of courageous love and the bravery and determination shown by those who have and continue to love beyond themselves. There was time to reflect on those currently experiencing conflict and prayers for peace.
Staff and pupils gathered today for a moving ceremony to remember those former Truro School staff and pupils who have been lost in conflict. The Head Girl and Boy laid a wreath of poppies before The Last Post echoed across the school and the community engaged in a moment of quiet reflection. The children then ‘planted’ a pot of poppies to remember the fallen.
