In the National Schools County Round Badminton Competition held at the SBA and hosted by Truro School, Penair and Torpoint teams joined four Truro School teams in an exhilarating morning of matches.
Badminton is a popular sport at School and a very popular after-school club; it is also part of our School sports curriculum, requiring skills in speed, agility, coordination, and excellent reflexes.
The matches showcased impressive gameplay from all teams, culminating in wins for all four of our teams. Truro School players will now advance and play in the Regional Round of the National Schools’ Competition before Easter.
Mrs Norfolk said, “This is an exhilarating time for our badminton teams, and it’s been a long wait for young players. The last County Round was played back in 2020 when we couldn’t progress to the next round due to Covid.”
Well done to all teams and players, and thank you for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship.
