Last weekend our 1st and 2nd Year football and rugby teams welcomed Radnor House Twickenham for two days of spirited competition, with sportsmanship taking centre stage. Elsewhere, victories were celebrated as both the U13 and U12 Rugby 7s teams clinched county championship titles. Further achievements were earned by the U15 and U12 girls’ cricket teams at their county finals, placing 4th and 3rd, respectively, in the county. Well done all!
Personal accomplishments abounded, with Fenella making her mark in the Independent Schools Football Association, marking a significant milestone. Daisy, Dan and Naomi joined athletes from far and wide at the Laser Run World Qualifier where both Daisy and Naomi secured spots to represent GB in China, while Dan showed great promise in his early Pentathlon pursuits. Well done also to Ruth, Erin and Sophie as they represented Cornwall Rugby in recent fixtures against Somerset.
Meanwhile, the final WAA of the term saw WAA netballers from various year groups showcasing their skills in Easter fancy dress. Amidst the festivities, heartfelt farewells were bid to Upper Sixth footballers, with younger players forming a touching guard of honour to celebrate their final game at Truro School. The WAA footballers then went on to welcome eleven teams from Penryn for one of our largest block fixtures ever, with over 300 pupils playing. The girls’ Upper Sixth hockey finished their season as U18 county champions! Well done all!
A huge thank you to all the staff, parent supporters and pupils whose efforts made these achievements possible.
