Year 6 Dive In

It was the turn of our Year 6 Truro School Prep pupils to visit the Sir Ben Ainslie (SBA) swimming pool at the Senior School today for their swimming time trials.

Designed to check where current pupils are and to assess any new starters, these sessions are a gentle start to competitive swimming events. For many pupils, it is the first time they have swum in a 25m pool or competed under race conditions.

It was fantastic to see pupils enjoying the facilities at the SBA and show great courage and camaraderie as the afternoon progressed. Well done to all of our Year 6 pupils and thanks to the staff who make swimming such an integral part of our Truro School curriculum from Nursery through to the Senior School.
