Our sports people have had an incredible start to the term, with a wide range of matches, clubs, and activities already underway. This week our 1st and 2nd Years played fantastic hockey against teams from Mount Kelly. Our 2nd Years came from 2-0 down to a win of 5-2 and our 1st Years secured a 2-1 at full time. All the teams played excellent hockey.
Our boys’ senior tennis team this week participated in an inter-school fixture in preparation for their regional qualifier match against West Buckland on Friday. Thank you to Mr Askey for organising the fixture.
Well done to the U18 and U16 netball teams who took to the courts to play an inter school fixture this Wednesday afternoon. The match allowed the U16s to practice for their County Tournament. Well done to all pupils involved and we look forward to hearing how the U16s perform on Saturday.
A huge well done to the 30 students who competed in the annual ESSA South-West qualifier meet held at Millfield School. The team competed against over 20 different schools, with numerous swimmers setting personal best times. We look forward to hearing if any of our teams qualify for the next national round.
Wednesday Afternoon Activities last week saw both Truro School netball and football teams travel to Camborne Academy for fixtures. Our 1st, 2nd and 4th Year teams also played Penryn at Rugby this week.
Congratulations to the senior football team, who won 3-0 against Camborne in the ESFA cup and progress to the next round. Thank you to Mr Hooper and Mr Sullivan for accompanying and coaching the team.
Well done also to the 1st-4th Year netball teams, with the 3rd and 4th Years achieving wins! Well done to Lowenna, India, Evie and Grace for being nominated Players of the Match.
