It has been another busy week for all of our amazing pupils at Truro School Pre-Prep.
In Nursery, children showed great creativity as they splattered paint and glitter to make pictures of fireworks. They then tried to describe what a firework was like before beginning work on an acrostic firework poem.
Reception also made some beautiful firework pictures and created edible sparklers. In Maths, they have been working hard to divide odd and even numbers. In a roar-some literacy lesson, pupils have been creating their own dinosaur names.
In Year 1, our children had fun showing off their incredible Tudor ships. They showed great courage and confidence as they shared with their peers how they made them and what materials they used. In literacy, pupils went off on a noun hunt before learning about adjectives and how to use them to make their writing more exciting. Year 1 has also been practising singing for their Princess and the Pea performance next week.
In Year 2 this week, the children shared their fantastic Roman mosaics and colosseum models; we were extremely impressed with their ability to share their design and build processes and discuss what materials (including custard creams!) they used. Our Year 2 pupils have also been working hard to learn their lines for the forthcoming Christmas performance and still managed to squeeze in hockey, basketball and gymnastics.
Well done to all of our amazing Pre-Prep children for all of their hard work, determination and joyful spirits.
