The WAA Printmaking group has dedicated the past month to an exciting project to celebrate our new ‘dessert island’ which is the latest addition to the dining hall. We are proud to unveil the new ‘Dessert Island’ artwork which is now on display in the canteen. Each pupil contributed their own design inspired by the theme of palm trees and puddings. Working collaboratively, they selected the best elements from all the drawings to create the final design.
The pupils then screen printed each part of the design, showcasing a wealth of creative ideas that were combined into one cohesive poster. Can you spot these unique features: cake island with a chocolate custard waterfall, candy floss clouds, macaron hot air balloons, a watermelon and wafer boat, an octopus-loving doughnuts, the dessert boy who distributes second helpings, and the Neapolitan ice cream letters?
A heartfelt thank you to our talented print artists: Farrah, Verity, Malia, Leah, Eliza, Lily, Louisa, Pandora, Ayla, Bea, Aisha, Samira, Lucia, Ameera, Jennifer, and Fearne for their hard work. Thank you to our ‘Artist in Residence’ Miss Coward who co-ordinated the artwork and Operations Manager, Mr. Fraser for helping execute the project.
