What a busy sporting week it’s been for Truro School, with a whole host of fixtures across multiple sports!
Our pupils have been representing the school brilliantly, showing determination, skill, and teamwork on every pitch, court, and course. The Boys U12 competed in the County West Festival, showcasing great potential for the future. The Girls U16 also impressed at the U16 County Hockey Tournament, while the Girls U13A, U13B, and U12A teams had exciting matches against Mount Kelly.
Our golfers hit the greens with confidence in this week’s fixtures against Millfield School. In Football, the Mixed U16A played against Pool Academy and the Girls U16 gave it their all in their match against Penryn College. Netball saw the Girls U13A battle against Parkstone Grammar School, while the Girls U14 and U12 faced Helston Community College. The Boys U16A squash team competed in an energetic fixture against Exeter School.
A huge congratulations to our U14 rugby team, who secured an impressive win over Newquay Tretherras in the School Sport Magazine National Cup in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd. It was an outstanding display – well done to all involved! Our U14 Netball team also shone this week, finishing 3rd in the Cornwall County Netball Tournament on Saturday. They played exceptionally well all day, with their only loss in the semi-finals to the eventual winners. A special mention goes to Finlay T for his gold medal victory in the U13 category at the Heart of Devon Sabre Tournament over half term. What an incredible achievement – congratulations, Finlay!
We’re sending all our best wishes to the U18 Netball team, who will compete in the U19 County Netball Tournament tomorrow. Go, Truro School!
