Pupils Sarah, Isobel and Ottilie have been showcasing their Christmas Carol, ‘A King Born Tonight’ to 1st years in assembly, after winning a carol writing competition led by Rev Helen.
Peers have been learning the new carol, with the help of Mr Osmond, ready for the end-of-term carol service at Truro Methodist Church.
Over the last four weeks, the trio have written and composed the carol in their music lessons. Sarah led the composition and also plays the piano and was keen to ensure extra diligence to get the carol sounding perfect. Isobel was instrumental in mastering the intro, whilst Ottilie provided the lyrical genius.
The winning carol triumphed over 15 other phenomenal entries to receive a Head’s Commendation alongside the privilege of having their carol sung by the whole school community.
Congratulations to the girls on their win, and a thank you to everyone who showed courage and creativity when taking part in this competition.
