Handball Tournament Wins for All

4th Year pupils from Truro School, Torquay Academy, and Poltair showcased their skill and determination in an exhilarating handball tournament at the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre.

Mr Hooper, PE Teacher and Senior Pastoral Lead, highlighted the significance of the tournament for Truro School’s 4th Year pupils. “We have selected teams from our 4th Year PE pupils as part of their GCSE preparation, supporting the three practical sport choices required for their assessment. Handball provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop their skills in a competitive setting while fulfilling the practical element of their course. Their performances in this tournament will contribute to their overall grading.”

This event not only provided an exciting sporting challenge but also reinforced key aspects of the pupils’ GCSE studies. After a day of intense play, Truro School claimed victory, securing first place in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.

Congratulations to our teams on their fantastic achievement!
