Year 6 enjoyed a visit from Kresen Kernow this morning learning about Truro in the Victorian era.
The children rotated tables looking at old maps and identifying where modern places would be, comparing old and new photos of the town centre, looking at old censuses, and comparing proposed architectual designs for the Cathedral, and identifying the correct one.
The children asked all about Victorian professions such as Ironmongers, talked about modern pollution and pollution the Victorians would have experienced, and learnt about how the river once ran through Lemon Quay, with sailing ships being a frequent sight.
