Truro School recognised the important roles that their Apprentices play at School this week, National Apprenticeship Week, with tea and a celebratory cake at the Sixth Form Cafe. Truro School has five amazing and hard working apprentices based in various departments across the school: IT, Office Administration, Finance, Gardens & Grounds and Cookery School.
Richard Thomas, Vice Chair of the Governors, thanked the apprentices for their hard work in the School and said, “This is a wonderful place for you to start your careers because it is place of learning and development. I look forward to watching you grow in your journey here at Truro School”.
Truro School also took the opportunity to launch its new internal Apprentice Programme which will provide high quality, skill, knowledge and behaviour based opportunities to support their Apprentice’s path to successful careers, alongside their formal Apprenticeship training. The aim is to use weekly sessions to support the Apprentices as a team, and also take a look at important work-related areas such as time management, problem solving, resilience, assertiveness and influencing.
Truro School is part of the Methodist Independent Schools Trust (MIST)
