U11 Girls’ County Hockey Champions

Last Friday 4th March 2022, we took two hockey teams to the U11 girls’ county hockey tournament, which was held at Penzance Astro pitch.

This was a round-robin format, with both teams playing matches against teams from St. Breock School, Charlestown School, St. Ives School, St. Hilary School and Truro High School.

U11’A’ Team: Lois, Millie F, Holly, Evelyn, Rosie, Millie N, Milly P and Amelia.

Congratulations to our U11 ‘A’ team, who won all of their matches, scoring an incredible 22 goals during the tournament (Millie N, Rosie M and Millie F). As well-deserved tournament winners – and County champions – they have qualified for the regional finals, to be held at Millfield School on Thursday 24th March 2022.

U11 ’B’ team: Alicia, Lowen, Honey, Lowenna, Indira, Scarlett, Olivia and Georgia.

Our U11 ‘B’ team drew both of their opening matches, against St. Breock School and Charlestown School. Although they lost their remaining matches, they showed real determination and great teamwork during the tournament. The majority of the players in this team are still in Year 5, so they have another year left in this age group.
