Life Drawing Makes a Mark

On Monday after school pupils have been enjoying their Life Drawing classes with Mr Brett.

This week’s session had a full turnout of excited pupils who were using charcoal to create their own artistic interpretations of our life model Anna. Standing high on the table, pupils practised their measuring techniques to scale her frame for their portraits before concentrating on her jawline and hips in their artistic form.

The class, suitable for all abilities, had 3 new pupils join this week. They were initiated with personal tuition with Mr Brett on their first life drawing experience. The class  hosts a range of all ages from 11 to 18 and is an open space for creativity, with beginners through to seasoned artists attending.

Prefect Lara has been assisting with the classes and helping pupils feel at ease. Halfway through, pupils enjoyed a hot chocolate, before attempting a different sketch of Anna as she changed poses to a seated position.
