Dear Parents & Carers,
This week’s Bulletin has something of a staff focus as there is a good deal of news to impart. In the first instance, I am sure you will join me in wishing Neil McIntosh, our Head Chef, the very best of luck with his forthcoming knee operation. Whilst Neil recovers, Mark Hulme will join the Prep catering team. Mark joins us from the Cott Inn, Dartington, where he held the position of Head Chef.
Turning to the office, both Keiley Nokes and Anna Laity will be away for periods of time and we are grateful to Ali Hanson (who joins us from the Senior School) for stepping in to support Nat Bowell.
Continuing on the theme of cover, you will see the friendly face of Mark Jones around school as he steps in to cover staff illness.
The more observant of you might have noticed that Mr Frewer and Mr Dove have taken a somewhat lower profile over the last few days. Please be reassured that they have not left us but they have been deep in training for the school’s forthcoming migration to iSAMS, a new management information system. This will go live in September and James and Chris will be leading in preparing for all that this will entail.

Finally, from a staff perspective, I finish with the excellent news that Amy Keillor-Jolly gave birth to a son, Bodhi Joe on the 19th of January. Both mother and baby are well.
Turning to you as parents, guardians and carers, I take this opportunity to thank all who have engaged positively with our ongoing message about driving courteously through the school and the neighbourhood. Continuing on this theme, please may I request that any parents waiting at pickup time turn off their engines to reduce pollution – particularly if you are directly outside Treliske House and near the children.
As for your children, they have been as impressive and busy as ever and recent activities include welcoming prospective parents and visiting pupils, football, netball and hockey matches, gymnastics competitions, Youth Speaks competitions, a trip to Wheal Martyn and the Truro School Geology department. They deserve a jolly good rest and I hope that you will enjoy a lovely weekend together.
With every good wish,
Rob Morse

Christmas Jumper Amnesty
A reminder that if you have any unwanted Christmas jumpers that have been or will be outgrown by next December, the FTS is collecting them to store until the next festive season.
Please bring donations into the Prep Office or Cookery School Cafe at the Senior School for your FTS reps to collect.
Truro School Careers Convention
Following on from last week’s invitation to participate in Truro School’s biennial Careers Convention, taking place on Tuesday, 18 March 2025, from 3.00pm to 6.00pm at the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre we are writing to you to ask for your support in this event.
There is already a great selection (25 so far!) of companies and organisations from various industries and backgrounds who have volunteered to be delegates, but we still need more. To ensure the convention has a range of professionals there, we are looking for delegates to represent the following industries:
If you or anyone in our community comes to mind that you think might be able to represent one of those industries, please do get in touch with Amanda Forde in our Alumni Department abf@truroschool.com
