Smiles and Sunshine for FTS Beach Clean

Families from across Truro School and Truro School Prep gathered at Watergate Bay last weekend for a fabulous beach clean, organised by Friends of Truro School (FTS).

After so many FTS events were put on hold due to the pandemic, it was wonderful to see our School Community coming together. Families gathered to meet new faces, catch up with old friends and have lots of fun in the sun.

Hosted by Beach Guardian, a Cornish CIC which organises community beach cleans and educational workshops, the beach clean was a fabulous day to support our local environment and improve the well-being of our School Community and our planet.

Our families collected bags of litter and microplastics that otherwise would have stayed in our ocean waters.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the FTS team and to Beach Guardian for organising such a fabulous day.
