On Wednesday, to complement their topic on earthquakes and volcanoes, Year 4 enjoyed a visit from a Shelterbox volunteer.
The children had a fantastic time learning about the important work the charity carries out across the world in response to disasters. They loved looking at the different items that go into one of the boxes with the solar light and water filter being particularly popular items.
Time flew by and everyone gained a better understanding of what it might be like to lose everything in a disaster.
With thanks to Mrs Palmer for these fantastic photos and words.
