A group of enthusiastic 1st Year girls attended the TecGirls Cybersecurity Tech Jam. The event featured a series of engaging workshops designed to introduce young minds to the world of cybersecurity.
Throughout the day, the girls participated in various hands-on activities. They learned how to protect ‘data’—represented by sweets—by programming a safe using Lego. Additionally, they delved into the intricacies of encryption, explored computer network security, and honed their logic and programming skills.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to immerse themselves in the field of cybersecurity, sparking their interest and building foundational skills for the future. Thank you to Mrs Lobb and Mrs Holt for organising the trip.
