3rd Year DofE Training

Our 3rd Years have been enthusiastically training for their bronze DofE award, and with an incredible twenty expedition groups this year, they are all eager to get started.

Teamwork and leadership skills have been building over the weeks, and it is has been wonderful to see their confidence growing alongside their technical knowledge. This weekend they concentrated on mapping routes ahead of their expeditions; last weekend focussed on putting up tents, learning to use a Trangia, packing an expedition rucksack, discovering what food to eat on an expedition and learning the basics of first aid and navigation.

Thank you to all the staff and helpers involved with the training for what will undoubtedly be an incredible year of DofE.
