Congratulations to all our 4th Year pupils for their outstanding achievements in earning merits for their respective houses. Form 4K has taken the lead with 711 merits, contributing to a grand total of 3844 merits accumulated so far this year.
During their Head of Year Assembly, Mr. Hooper, also commended all 4th Year pupils who have achieved a grade 3 and above in their learning scores, highlighting their commitment to effort which extends beyond individual academic performance. He encouraged everyone to continue refining their individual learning strategies and working towards their personal goals, as discussed in their recent tutor meetings.
There has also been a lot of success for the MiY Portfolio work with five teams being invited to present in the Chapel to Mrs Stone, Mr Picton and Head, Mr Johnson who said in his feedback the presentations were worthy of high praise and it was great to see curiosity, depth of insight, learning and an appetite for discovery in areas that are not just syllabus related.
MiY Portfolio aims to cultivate literacies beyond the standard curriculum with this term’s projects emphasising collaboration, curiosity, courage, and teamwork. The presentation topics chosen by the groups included diet, finance, the Cornish housing market, and leadership qualities. A special acknowledgment goes to Delilah C, Naomi H, Grace N, Summer R, Ella-Jane W, Nathaniel D, Fenella E, Michael L, Ari R, Connie S, Flora C, Oliver H, Eva N, Kai R, Jack BH, Nathan C, Oliver M, Toby R, Dylan A, Christian B, Lara D, Hannah H, and Benjamin M for their exceptional work on their presentations.
