A Winning Start for Girls Football

It’s lovely to see our footballers enjoying the legacy created by the Lionesses with winning performances on the football pitch this week.

Competing in friendlies against Truro High School the U13 and U15 girls have been excellent ambassadors for football: skillfully working the ball around the pitch, putting in maximum effort and playing happy, respectful matches.

Both sides put on excellent performances in good-spirited games. The U13 team had a goal-packed afternoon, defeating Truro High School 9-6, and despite being one girl down, the U15s fought a close match which ended in a narrow 0-1 defeat. Well done to both teams.

We look forward to capitalising on these successes to continue advancing our game.
