We received the wonderful news this week that Upper Sixth Former Aimee Brown was shortlisted for her essay in the 2023 Warwick University Sustainable Development Competition. This is an international competition that invites students to give insight into thought-provoking issues surrounding Global Sustainable Development.
Her entry examined the cost-of-living crisis and its effects on sustainable development and health, with a focus on three of the United Nations Sustainability Goals, she drew on local, national and international case studies.
Aimee, who is studying A-Levels in Geography, Biology, and Chemistry, has used this opportunity to explore her specialist area of interest in sustainable development linked to health.
Mrs. Wormald, expressed pride in Aimee’s independent entry into the competition, which extends the project work they do for the A-Level syllabus in exploring ‘How Place Impacts People.’ “Aimee’s achievement and her drive to pursue this extracurricular opportunity is commendable.” Congratulations to Aimee on her well-deserved recognition.
