A lovely week of great weather in Cornwall made for some happy Trennick boarders. Justas, our new arrival, has been braving the cold water and went surfing on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday we visited our school Reverend and went for a Chapel service where we talked about the importance of forgiveness.
During the weekend we stayed busy with a visit to our cookery school to prepare food for our evening BBQs. Cyrus and David made some fantastic Chicken drumsticks marinated in a sticky BBQ sauce, whilst Dan R and Anton knocked up a lovely cheesecake, Chun and Frank made some lovely tomato and mozzarella salads, but the best food were the lamb burgers prepared by Pietro and Cam.
We invited the senior girls up to the Trennick Quad for a BBQ on Saturday night, Mr Hatfield was chef which allowed the girls and boys to play some BBQ games, unfortunately we had to be a little careful to stay socially distanced, but this didn’t affect the party atmosphere too much and we enjoyed DJ Dan’s music outside till after 10pm. Our younger Trennick boys went down to the junior girl’s garden and played similar games and had their own BBQ.
On Sunday the fun continued with a trip to Flambards, the Cornwall theme park. Everybody enjoyed the rides and the sunshine so it was a very good day. With no school on Monday due to a national Bank Holiday the younger boys enjoyed a relaxing movie night whilst the older boys listened to music and played computer games in the common room.
