Sadly the planned surfing trip was postponed due to strong wind and waves; we still look forward to the surfing lessons which have been re-arranged to the weekend of 22 & 23 May. The boys instead headed to Falmouth for a few hours of shopping. Falmouth is a beautiful town by the sea with a thriving student population which brings tremendous diversity to the shops and cafes of the high street. Many of the boarders enjoyed a takeaway meal from the many different cultural options.
On Saturday evening Hector planned a movie for the younger boys and an evening of board games for the older boys. Earlier in the evening Hector, Cam and Daniel headed to the local supermarket to buy some drinks and snacks which were enjoyed by all.
Frank and David headed out early on Saturday for a practice expedition for their Duke of Edinburgh award. The Duke of Edinburgh award remains an extremely positive program of volunteering, learning a new skill, engaging in physical activity, and going on a self-supporting expedition. Frank and David will go on a longer expedition next weekend and they hope for less rain!
Earlier in the week, Henry played cricket for the school 1st XI. It is great to see school sports teams and fixtures start again, and encouraging that Henry has made an enjoyable start in the school cricket team.
