Celebrating Harvest & Giving In Our Community

Following our Senior School Charity Day on Friday, Rev. Helen has led a series of inspiring assemblies throughout this week to celebrate Harvest. Joined by Victoria Hill, Engagement Officer for  the charity ‘All We Can’, Rev. Helen led our 1st and 2nd year pupils in an assembly filled with activities designed to foster a spirit of gratitude. Mrs. MacDonald has created a beautiful Harvest display on the Chapel stage.

Starting with a game of tennis, pupils expressed what they were thankful for as they hit the ball. This was followed by pupil volunteers and staff spelling out the word ‘Harvest’ and joining a interactive spelling display on the stage.

Mrs Hill highlighted the impactful work of All We Can and shared opportunities for pupils to raise additional funds for the charity throughout the year, including the upcoming January initiative, “All We Canuary,” and activities related to their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) program.

On Friday, pupils and staff participated in a fundraising effort by donating £2 to wear their own clothes for the day. We are pleased to report that approximately £1,740 has been raised, reflecting an excellent collective effort. Today the food donated by pupils for St Austell Foodbank has been collected by the charity, for the benefit of local families in our community.
