This Friday, October 11th, marks Truro School Charity Day. This week, Sixth Form students Mathilde I, Evie M, and Libby R from the Truro School Community Action Team presented information to our lower school pupils in preparation for the event.
Pupils will be wearing their own clothes for the school day and donating to charitable causes and this year we will be supporting the charities ‘All We Can’ and ‘St Austell Foodbank’. All We Can are a Methodist founded charity, finding solutions to poverty and injustice in the world’s poorest communities. St Austell Foodbank are a local charity supported by The Trussell Trust, providing food to those most in need.
We are asking pupils to bring in items of food alongside their monetary donations on Friday, to donate to St Austell Foodbank.
The most desired items include:
Pupils are reminded to check the expiration dates of any food items they bring from home to ensure they are still in date. Thank you for your support in making this Charity Day a success.
