Cornwall School Athletics Championships

Last Saturday the Cornwall School Athletics Championships took place at the Parr athletics track. On a beautiful day, Truro School entered 16 pupils into the condensed programme. It was lovely to see so many young people enjoying the chance to compete and try to beat their own PBs. The event was superbly ran and our thanks go to all the volunteers, who gave up their time to host such a wonderful day.

Truro School pupils competed well and were a credit to our school with their effort, encouragement of others and commitment. A special mention goes out to Jacob L (SF11), Izzie L (SF01) and Jessica B (2K), who were all selected to represent Cornwall at the South West Inter-county Championships. We wish Jacob (U20 men’s 200m and 400m), Izzie (U20 women’s 1500m) and Jess (Junior girls 1500m) well for their next meeting and thank you again to all Truro School students and parents for their attendance and support.
