From Nursery through to Sixth Form, the Truro School community offers a values-based education that encourages our pupils and students to fulfil their potential in ways that go beyond outstanding academic outcomes. Our values are Curiosity, Confidence, Compassion, Creativity and Courage.
Thursday afternoons at Truro School Prep perfectly encompass what a values-based education means as our Year 5 and 6 pupils go off-curriculum for their weekly activity programme. With activities rotating across hockey, first aid, cookery, dance and cycling proficiency (to name but a few), our pupils are challenged to develop new practical and soft skills that help them develop more widely.
These sessions help to develop resilience while learning from successes and failures, foster independent and group thinking and the courage to become the very best of who they are.
As our photos show, these activities are also designed to be fun and engaging for all.
