This Monday marked the inaugural session of our newest extra-curricular activity, Eco Club, and it was a fantastic start. Held after school, our enthusiastic members rolled up their sleeves to create eco-friendly firelighters using fallen pinecones found on our school grounds. It was a fun and hands-on way to promote sustainability using natural resources.
Following our creative crafting, we toured the Orchard and school garden. Together, we identified areas that need love and attention as we prepare for autumn and winter. The students brainstormed ways to enhance our gardens, ensuring we’re ready to grow our own food in the upcoming season. Their excitement about cultivating fresh produce was truly inspiring!
Following on from our recent Green Flag Award, this fantastic club is dedicated to making our school even more sustainable. You can read about the Green Flag Award here.
