Expanding Horizons at UCAS Discovery Event

Our entire Lower Sixth travelled to Westpoint Arena in Exeter to attend the UCAS Discovery Event, an important step in their preparation for post-18 options. The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet representatives from hundreds of universities and apprenticeship providers and our students had the invaluable chance to explore a diverse range of future pathways. Many discovered courses and career options they had never previously considered, broadening their aspirations and gaining first-hand insights into the possibilities ahead.

Alongside engaging with exhibitors, students attended informative seminars delivered by UCAS specialists, offering insights into the application process and key elements that strengthen university and apprenticeship applications. These sessions reinforced the value of the skills and experiences our students develop through the Sixth Form Diploma, which helps them build well-rounded applications.

With this wealth of inspiration, our Lower Sixth are already looking ahead to next week’s Careers Convention, where they will continue to engage with industry professionals and gain further insight into potential career paths.
