Our Lower Sixth Geography students completed a three-day residential to Nettlecombe Court in Somerset as part of their A-Level course work.
They gained a range of valuable fieldwork experience including GIS flood risk mapping in Minehead, coastal processes in Porlock, urban regeneration in Watchet, and carbon capture in a local woodland.
The students also enjoyed evening tuition on GIS and the use of statistics which will prove very useful for their future studies in the classroom.
Mrs Wormald would like to share how proud she was of the students for their hard work throughout the trip. The students gained great confidence throughout, and it was fantastic to see the groups working together so brilliantly.
A huge thank you to all the staff who made the trip possible.
