Our 5th Years and Sixth Formers had an incredible time on a jam-packed French trip to Nice and Monaco. Having landed in Nice, the students first set off to explore La Promenade des Anglais and La Colline du Château, a historic hilltop park that offers dramatic city and sea views, a man-made waterfall & café.
On their first full day, our intrepid explorers spent the morning in Le Vieux Nice, visiting Le Cours Saleya, La Place du Palais de Justice, the Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate before heading to Fragonard to make perfumes.
The next two days were a whirlwind of swimming in the Mediterranean, and visiting museums including the Musée Océanographique de Monaco. Highlights included the superb Palace of the Prince of Monaco and viewing his private collection of cars and the luxurious Private Monaco Yacht Club. The trip culminated in an incredible concert by French rapper, singer and songwriter Saïd M’Roumbaba, better known by his stage name Soprano.
With so many varied activities, the experience gave our pupils and students valuable opportunities to immerse themselves in the French language and culture. We would like to thank all of the staff and pupils who made the trip possible and so enjoyable.
