It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Guy Dodd following a tragic accident at his home. He passed away, peacefully, on Friday afternoon 8 May. Guy was Headmaster of Truro School from 1993 to 2001 and Chair of the Truro School Foundation from its creation in 2016 to January 2020. He will be warmly remembered by all those who met him during those times as either pupil, teacher, parent or alumni.
We will, of course, want to recognise the enormous contribution Guy made to our School and a full obituary will follow as will details, in time, of how the School will be remembering him. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with Helen and the family.
Rev de Gruchy led our virtual staff meeting in prayer yesterday morning as we remembered Guy and his family. I know that the entire Truro School community, in its very broadest definition, will join me in mourning the loss of a great and kind man. May he rest in peace.
Andrew Gordon-Brown
Headmaster
