German Language Pupils Celebrate Ostereierbaum

Following their recent language assessments, our 1st and 2nd Year pupils have been getting creative in their German lessons by decorating eggs as part of the Ostereierbaum festival. This traditional activity, practised by German families in the run-up to Easter, involves decorating homes and trees with painted eggs. We are currently preparing our own Easter trees for the school reception and chapel to display these beautiful creations.

Cultural lessons such as these, are an important part of language learning, and alongside this activity pupils have been learning lots of vocabulary related to Easter and this time of year.
