It is National Gardening Week and our Gardening Club has certainly been busy in the grounds of the School this week.
Our keen gardeners have worked hard to clear and prep the beds, plant seeds and grow tiny seedlings. This week, they were able to plant out their abundant vegetable crops, with plants including borage, cauliflower, spinach, carrots, pak choi and more.
Run as a lunchtime and after school club, Gardening Club is a fantastic way for our pupils to learn about horticulture and have plenty of fun getting their hands dirty! Led by Mrs Thurlow and members of the gardening team, you can see how much our members have grown; they have such green fingers that there were seedlings to spare for staff to take home as well.
A huge thanks to the club members and to the staff who make this club possible. We look forward to seeing the fruits of your labours in the coming months.
