Grimm Tales for 3rd and 4th Years

Over six spellbinding performances and two evenings, 3rd and 4th Year pupils brought classic folklore to life in Grimm Tales, adapted by Carol Ann Duffy. Open to all aspiring performers, the production welcomed 33 enthusiastic pupils, some stepping on stage for the first time, who rehearsed as part of their Wednesday Afternoon Activities.

The cast transported audiences deep into the heart of the woods, exploring the dark and timeless themes of the Brothers Grimm’s legendary tales. From battles of good versus evil to supernatural transformations, each story unfolded with a great deal of creative energy and imagination.

Rooted in the famous Kinder-und Hausmärchen, the Grimm brothers’ 1812 collection of folk tales, this production embraced the richness and moral depth of these age-old stories.

A huge thank you to all the pupils who took part, including Evie, Marcus and Emily who helped to direct the performances alongside Ms Egar, Mrs Sanderson and Mrs Hood. Thank you also to Sandra Goodenough, Hugo Usher-Sparks, Mrs Roukaerts and Mrs Richards.
