IAPS Regional Round at Millfield 2020
Bright and bouncy, seventeen pupils arrived at school at 7.30am on Monday 2nd March 2020 to travel to Millfield for the regional round of the national swimming IAPS competition.
There was stiff competition with high calibre teams such as Millfield and Kelly College in attendance.
Two of our swimmers achieved first place with fantastic swims. Well done to Luke R in the 50m backstroke and Joe O in the 25m backstroke. Five further swimmers achieved positions of 4th or above; out of sixteen individual events, seven of our swimmers were positioned in 4th or above.
In the team events, five out of eight races saw us place in the top four positions. The races were often close and the positions unclear until the finish.
Finally, it has to be mentioned that the children represented the school in an exemplary manner with outstanding behaviour throughout the day. Very well done to all.
Our school motto, Esse Quam Videri (to be, rather than to seem to be), captures the essence of our identity and is defined by the 5 C's below. Underpinned by strong Christian principles, we are a caring and inclusive community which values, nurtures and develops each individual.
