1st Year pupils have spent much of this term looking in detail at their module on cells and microscopes. As part of this biology module, they were tasked with creating their own examples of plant and animal cells.
The pupils produced some incredible creations, clearly dedicating a lot of time and effort at home. They used a variety of materials to represent their cellular structures. The models were assessed by the department based on creativity, detailed structure, and labelling. This proved to be a very difficult task considering the standard of work presented.
Congratulations to Sammy B for his muscle cell, Barnaby H for his intestinal epithelial cell and Sylvie M for her neuron cell. These models stood out for their exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
