In an exciting twist to their regular routines, the 3rd Years have spent the day exploring their futures and discussing GCSE options during their ‘Inspiring Futures Day’.
Pupils engaged in a series of specialised workshops and taster lessons designed to help them identify their preferences, strengths, and interests, guiding them in making informed decisions about their upcoming GCSE options.
Special subject-taster sessions were held in Geology, PE and Computer Science, allowing pupils to gain insights into these new subjects and consider whether to pursue them as GCSE options.
During the day, pupils participated in a Unifrog Workshop, aimed at providing valuable insights into various career paths and opportunities. They also attended a Smart Skills Workshop with Mrs Taylor-Ross, where they were challenged to build spaghetti towers and engaged in discussions about skills, team roles, and SMART objectives.
These strategic initiatives help pupils identify their interests and strengths, empowering them to make well-informed decisions about their academic paths.
