Our fantastic Junior Choir spent the day spreading festive joy to our local community as they visited three care homes in the Truro area to sing Christmas carols with the residents. Our 1st and 2nd Year choir members were joined by 3rd Year boarder Jacinta, who delivered a beautiful solo performance of Feliz Navidad in Spanish – her mother tongue.
Pupils Sarah, Isobel and Ottilie showcased their newly crafted Christmas carol, ‘A King Born Tonight’ after it was chosen as the winner for this year’s carol writing competition to warm adulation from the audiences.
The day began with a visit to St George’s Hotel Care Home, where the choir’s voices lit up the morning. From there, the festive cheer continued as the group moved on to Kenwyn Care Home, with the day finishing at Tregolls Manor Nursing Home.
At each location, the choir were met with warm welcomes and the residents joined in with smiles, laughter and good humour. It was a day filled with connection, community and the magic of Christmas. A big well done to our Junior Choir for sharing their talents and lifting the hearts of so many and many thanks to Mrs Whomersley for conducting.
