Livin’ on a Prayer

Pupils Mikey, Gryff, Oilver, Buzz and Kes have delighted chapel with the sounds of rock music to celebrate Lent.

The chapel band joined Rev Helen on stage to perform ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi, as an alternative hymn for all pupils to join in with. They have been performing all week, to every senior year group and have worked very hard to make the song come to life in their own style.

Alongside singing, Rev Helen presented a service to celebrate Lent and invited pupils to think about ‘nourishing their souls’ by taking time out to pray and think about the essential things they would like to achieve over the 40 days of lent – which may be helping someone else or being kind.

Congratulations to the Chapel Band on an excellent week of performances and bringing new joy to the Chapel through rock music.
