Our Lower Sixth Geography students embarked on an educational trip to Plymouth this week, exploring areas including the Royal William Yard, Barbican, and the West End. Engaging in hands-on learning, they surveyed local residents, measured traffic flow, and observed the volume of people in various locations.
Through their detailed observations, they described the distinct environments of each area, noting differences in architecture, atmosphere, and amenities. Additionally, the students characterised businesses based on their products and services, gaining insights into the local economy and commercial landscape. This experience provided valuable real-world data and enriched their understanding of geographical concepts in a practical setting.
