Mining Games Preparation

On Friday lunchtime, a group of 2nd-year pupils met for the first Mining Games Training session. This is in preparation for the Cornwall School Mining Games competition, which will take place in June.

The group learned about what the competition will involve and began practising two of the events they will compete in: panning for gold and hand steeling (using a hammer and hand steel to make a hole in a concrete block).
