Our boarders have been enjoying the start of spring and all the good things that come with this time of year. They recently celebrated St Piran’s Day, the patron saint of Cornwall, where they enjoyed a mid-week Cornish-themed celebration with a traditional Cornish cream tea and learnt the ‘proper Cornish’ way to load up a scone, it was definitely jam first!
There has been quite a bit of singing, cake, and excitement as we celebrated Felicity becoming a teenager and also birthday celebrations for Leana and Percy in Malvern House. A big thank you to our boarding team, who are not only fantastic supportive house-parents but also very accomplished bakers.
Over the weekend, all the boarders made the most of the warmer spring weather and enjoyed an adrenaline-fuelled afternoon at a Quarry, near Falmouth where they participated in many different activities, including riding the hair raising giant cliff-top swing, a 500m zip wire, and racing on the go-karting track.
A big well done to our boarders who are wonderful at encouraging one another to try new things, sharing in each other’s success and are always up for a weekend adventure!
